2 Phase Ard Systems

For the 2-phase ARD system to work, the Elevator Controller must be powered at its rated voltage in order to perform the rescue operation. This is an essential safety feature in elevators to ensure that passengers are safely evacuated during power outages or emergencies. In the event of a power failure, the ARD system takes over and provides the necessary power to the Elevator Controller, allowing it to perform controlled rescue operations such as moving the elevator car to a safe position, opening the doors, and safely evacuating passengers.
